Westlake 360 GEM

MISSY’S & DAVID’S WESTLAKE GEM

Missy found this diamond in the rough in the Austin Westlake area.   Situated on a hill I designed the layout to take in the  views from all sides of the home.  Missy & I had a ball with this one and every challenge became an opportunity!

The resetting of the range in front of the window  made this kitchen work in more ways than one.  Moving the range allowed space for  a functional island & brought the work area into flow.  The windows were taken up higher to allow for  the views, and to further brighten the space. The butlers area has uppers on one side alone, to maximize the width and eliminate the tunnel affect. A walk in pantry a was created & inside it a dumb waiter made operational to service the homes many levels.   A project counter was added in the kitchen for the kids  to store their belongings,  and a cabinet housing the grilling items faces the deck.  

This kitchen has it all,  a 60” range,  48” pro fridge, speed cook oven, warming drawer, walk in pantry, butlers area, a bar fridge  and an ice maker to mention a few.   Missy truly has a big heart, spirit & a genuine flair for design.  Her personality & style shine through out; from the back splash, counters, accessories & her rework of the fireplace,  she has a knack for making a mix of materials works with panache!        

       Missy & I  had  fun completing her  master bath and gym & we broke all the rules ; have a peek!
